Heath & Reach is a village situated outside the market town of Leighton Buzzard. The village was originally two small hamlets and although not in the Domesday Book of 1086 first records were found for Reach in 1216 and Heath in 1220. A flaked flint knife found near Checkleywood Farm shows that people resided in the area as early as 4000 BC. Later in history the two hamlets merged to form what is now Heath & Reach.
Heath & Reach is well known nationally for its unique silica sand and of course Stockgrove Country Park which attracts visitors by the thousands each year.
