Go Green Heath and Reach
The Green and Environmental Issues Sub Committee (GEISC) was renamed as Go Green Heath and Reach. The group aligned itself with the P3 organisation.
Objectives of the group are to encourage the involvement of residents of the parish in community activities connected to enhancing, enjoying and promoting our local landscape, green spaces and flora and fauna.
Go Green will encourage and organise volunteers to get involved in projects around the parish.
Suggested activities include:-
Maintaining the Millennium Garden
Regular parish spring cleaning and promoting litter picking
Promoting our Rights of Way by organising walks and footpath maintenance and encouraging outdoor activities
Supporting volunteers who maintain the Pond
Assisting the work on the Stone Lane woodland site.
Go Green is enthusiastic about carrying out green activities. We recognised that there were a number of activities that were already being done and have incorporated these under the Go Green banner.
The Heath and Reach P3 group's objectives are closely aligned to those of the Go Green group. P3 has a connection with Central Bedfordshire Council in partnership with the Greensand Trust, and other organisations. P3 allows people to get involved with a wide range of community activities connected to enhancing, enjoying and promoting the local countryside.
We hold regular meetings usually in the Sports Pavilion at Bryant's Lane Quarry. Please come along and see what we do. All are welcome. Watch out for our posters.
